Biography

Aisha Cooper Bruce (ACBruce) is an advocate for women and children, with over 20 years’ experience in
Youth and Leadership Development, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Advocacy and Policy Engagement,
Movement Building and Gender-Sensitive Active Non-Violence, and Social Communication strategies; and over 15
years of experience in Grant Writing, Program Development and Organizational Management.
• 2024- Current: Providing knowledge, skills, tools, and opportunities for individuals, organizations, and
ministries. Currently providing coaching and guided technical assistance to over 10 clients. (See my services
below)
• 2010-2023: Started and built a non-profit organization from an annual income from $10,000USD to over
$600,000USD
• 2022: Secured over $1million USD in grants for a single organization
• 2014-2015: Visionary and co-launcher of the award-wining global social media campaign “I’m a Liberian,
Not A Virus” Social Media Campaign, addressing the world-wide stigmatization of Liberians and others
affected by Ebola -2014-2015
• 2012 – 2014: Provided technical support to over 80 girl leaders to develop and present the Manifesto for
the Development and Empowerment of the Liberian Girl Child to national decision makers. The Manifesto
was endorsed by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, major stakeholders, and adopted by the Ministry of Gender,
Children and Social Protection into a 3-Year Implementation Plan
• 2012: Received an Appreciation Award from the Ministry of Gender and Development for the strategic role
played in advocating for the Passage of the National Children’s Law
